Construction
Business Challenge
A sizeable regional construction company went through a few very turbulent
years: Changes in ownership, rapid growth and decreasing margins. As a
result of the growth and the other challenges, the management team had
to become far more pro-active. No longer could they look up to boss who
would tell them what to do and not do. The management team had to take
responsibility for its own actions and become far more professional. Quite
a challenge for people who had been used to one way of working during
dozens of years.
Solution
Because of the fact that the members management team had been with the
company such a long time, it was decided that it would be best to expose
them to people outside of their own industry. The whole team went through
the Dale Carnegie Course.
Results
The management team is now ‘living’ the characteristics required
of them. As a consequence, the company is now growing profitably.
